SMF, VRL & Industrial Batteries

After 10 years of experience in VRL with Shin Kobe, Exide has finally launched new Exide Powersafe NXT Exide Industries Ltd. India (EIL), Motive Power cells comes in a huge range of the Normal and the Enhanced version. The design has been optimized to maximize the utilization of the positive and negative electrodes. Usage of Advanced components for the manufacturing of electrodes gives higher discharge efficiency.

VRLA - NEPST & NMST RANGE

This valve regulated lead-acid battery range has a design life of 20 years at 27°C under ideal float condition. The capacity of these batteries ranges from 200Ah to 6000 Ah at 27°C down to 1.75 VPC. The operating temperature range is -5°C to 40°C.

  • 1)These batteries give 1800 cycles at 50% DOD.
  • 2) Excellent recovery from deep discharge.
  • 3) Antimony free alloy is used and hence self-discharge is less than 0.5% per week of C10 capacity at 27°C.
  • 4) Factory charged and ready to use, hence no delay between receipt and use resulting in instant power source.
  • 5) No water topping up required ever resulting in saving of hundreds of liters of distilled water and manpower required for topping up throughout life of battery.
  • 6) The gas recombination technology cycle effectively nullifies generation of gas during normal use resulting in no emission of corrosive fumes under normal operative conditions and hence no elaborate air exhaust system is required.

GEL TUBULAR - GTB RANGE

Exide offers GTB range in Tubular Gel VRLA Battery in the Telecom sector. The GTB Range of Capacity ranging from 200 Ah to 600 Ah @ 35°C down to 1.75 VPC.

  • 1) The cycle life at 35 degree Celsius is 3000 cycles at 50% DOD..
  • 2) The performance of GTB batteries conforms to IEC 61427, IEC 60896-21/22 & TEC Spec No. TEC/GR/TX/BAT-003/02 MAR 2011.
  • 3) Rugged and reliable for cyclic application, ideal for frequent discharge-charge cycle.
  • 4) Very low self-discharge.
  • 5) No water topping up ever.

FLOODED HSP CLASSIC RANGE AND FLOODED GEN-X RANGE
Flooded HSP Classic Range The very popular and ever dependent HSP range has been powering various makes of forklifts for more than two decades. The HSP range is available in BS and DIN range from 58Ah to 841 Ah in BS and 120Ah to 1400Ah in DIN. Available in both British and Continental standards, the HSP range can fit into all the makes of forklifts.

Flooded Gen-X Range

The Exide Gen-X range comes with 15% additional capacity in the same dimensions of the HSP range. The higher diameter of the gauntlet tubes increases the annular volume resulting in increased power. The advance formula of Red lead and Grey oxide used in the positive active material ensures increased power and long life. The Exide Gen-X range of batteries is at the highest technology level and has very high efficiency.

NDP & HDP TUBULAR RANGE

Exide Tubular batteries in PP & Transparent SAN containers are time-tested and have an outstanding track record. The batteries have Tubular plates specially cast in High Pressure HADI machines to battle corrosion effectively and ensure longevity. These low-maintenance batteries are extremely abuse-resistant and can operate under arduous conditions with great reliability and efficiency. Exide Tubular cells have built their reputation on their long standing ability to provide instant power to equipment. These batteries have excellent discharge performance, besides offering long and reliable service life. These are ideal for frequent charge/ discharge cycles and have low self-discharge, superior all round voltage profile and energy (Wh) output. These Tubular batteries recharge rapidly and have higher Ampere-hour and Watt-hour efficiencies. These batteries conform to IS 1651: 2013. Exide Tubular batteries are ideal for cyclic applications and are very commonly used in Transmission & Distribution, Power, Cement, Steel, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.

TBS / OPZS RANGE

A truly reliable standby battery needs to consider a divergent mix of variables like load, its duration and DC bus voltage window, expected frequency and depth of discharge, ambient temperature, criticality of operations and charging facility. Exide TBS tubular batteries are a great choice since these are tailored to meet all this need. These are rugged batteries with Exide Torr Tubular technology. The facility of measuring specific gravity of the electrolyte, voltage and temperature of cells allows anomalies to be detected well in advance. This makes preventive maintenance very easy and readiness during emergency discharge is always ensured. Exide TBS batteries offer a service life of around 15 years in diverse standby float applications. The batteries have been designed to be user-friendly, require very low maintenance and can withstand high ambient temperatures. These batteries conform to IS 1651 : 2013

The new EL range is manufactured as per Exide's proprietary Torr Tubular Technology using one of the world's most exclusive, advanced and state-of-the-art "HADI" high pressure spine casting (at 100 bar) machines, which is not commonly available. With our hi-tech R&D centre at Kolkata, Exide has developed the high corrosion-resistant and robust spine technology using the HADI process which ensures a superfine grain structure for strength, long life and highest reliability.
