VRLA - NEPST & NMST RANGE

This valve regulated lead-acid battery range has a design life of 20 years at 27°C under ideal float condition. The capacity of these batteries ranges from 200Ah to 6000 Ah at 27°C down to 1.75 VPC. The operating temperature range is -5°C to 40°C.
• These batteries give 1800 cycles at 50% DOD.
• Excellent recovery from deep discharge.
• Antimony free alloy is used and hence self-discharge is less than 0.5% per week of C10 capacity at 27°C.
• Factory charged and ready to use, hence no delay between receipt and use resulting in instant power source.
• No water topping up required ever resulting in saving of hundreds of liters of distilled water and manpower required for topping up throughout life of battery.
• The gas recombination technology cycle effectively nullifies generation of gas during normal use resulting in no emission of corrosive fumes under normal operative conditions and hence no elaborate air exhaust system is required.
• Specifications conforming to GR No. TEC/GR/TX/BAT-001/04.JUN 2011. JIS: C 8704-2:1999 IEC: 60896 - 21 & 22 ANSI: T1 330(US specification for Telecom battery) RDSO: IRS S93-96 with latest amendment.
• NEPST Range: Capacity Range 200Ah to 400 Ah @ 27°C down to 1.75 VPC - NMST Range: Capacity Range 600 Ah to 6000 Ah @ 27°C down to 1.75 VPC.

Exide offers GTB range in Tubular Gel VRLA Battery in the Telecom sector. The GTB Range of Capacity ranging from 200 Ah to 600 Ah @ 35°C down to 1.75 VPC.
• The cycle life at 35 degree Celsius is 3000 cycles at 50% DOD.
• The performance of GTB batteries conforms to IEC 61427, IEC 60896-21/22 & TEC Spec No. TEC/GR/TX/BAT-003/02 MAR 2011.
• Rugged and reliable for cyclic application, ideal for frequent discharge-charge cycle.

The very popular and ever dependent HSP range has been powering various makes of forklifts for more than two decades. The HSP range is available in BS and DIN range from 58Ah to 841 Ah in BS and 120Ah to 1400Ah in DIN. Available in both British and Continental standards, the HSP range can fit into all the makes of forklifts.

Flooded Gen-X Range

The Exide Gen-X range comes with 15% additional capacity in the same dimensions of the HSP range. The higher diameter of the gauntlet tubes increases the annular volume resulting in increased power. The advance formula of Red lead and Grey oxide used in the positive active material ensures increased power and long life. The Exide Gen-X range of batteries is at the highest technology level and has very high efficiency.

TBS / OPZS RANGE

A truly reliable standby battery needs to consider a divergent mix of variables like load, its duration and DC bus voltage window, expected frequency and depth of discharge, ambient temperature, criticality of operations and charging facility. Exide TBS tubular batteries are a great choice since these are tailored to meet all this need. These are rugged batteries with Exide Torr Tubular technology. The facility of measuring specific gravity of the electrolyte, voltage and temperature of cells allows anomalies to be detected well in advance. This makes preventive maintenance very easy and readiness during emergency discharge is always ensured.

To facilitate smooth functioning in banking, insurance and in other service institutions, it has become necessary to maintain the latest financial software packages, global networking facilities and user-friendly ATM services. This, in turn, has led to a large-scale computerization and consequent need for back-up power or Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) Systems. The integral part of a UPS is the battery bank. The battery acts as a back-up power source that supports the UPS system. The most popular battery system being used with UPS is the Lead Acid battery system. Broadly, there are two types of Lead Acid batteries suitable for SMF VRLA batteries and Tubular batteries. VRLA batteries are flat plate batteries that do not require periodic topping-up with water and normally do not emit any fumes or gases on a continuous basis. They are best suitable for applications where back-up requirement is usually short, normally not exceeding 30 mins to 1 hour. These batteries are automatic choice where ambient temperature is not very high and space is a constraint. Exide's Powersafe VRLA batteries provide ideal back-up power for UPS systems. Tubular batteries use a special technology by which the active material is encapsulated in polyester tubes to prevent shedding. These types of batteries are recommended for back-up power for UPS where environmental conditions are tough and high ambient temperature are common. The new EL plus range is manufactured as per Exide's proprietary Torr Tubular Technology using one of the world's most exclusive, advanced and state of the art "HADI" high pressure spine casting (at 100 bar) machines. The designed float life of Exide EL plus extends well beyond 5 years and on an average 8-10 years of EL plus Range. The cyclic life of EL plus is also very high to the tune of 1200 cycles at 80% depth of discharge. The combination of low antimony alloy and ceramic vent plug keeps the water addition requirement very low.
